Your Tasks

• Valuation & execution of venture capital investment and sales transactions 
  • Sourcing, screening, analysing and presenting investment opportunities
  • Development of investment theses 
  • Timing, evaluation & execution of commercial analyses, as well as support of due diligence processes in cooperation with external service providers
  • Negotiation, contract drafting and transaction execution 
• Management of existing portfolio companies 
  • Fulfilling advisory board mandates and shareholder meetings 
  • Communication with and sparring of founders, co-investors and advisory board members 
  • Analysing the business strategy, organisational structure, financial planning and IP situation 
  • Monitoring and reporting on the portfolio companies 
  • Preparation and coordination of investment rounds 

Your Profil

• At least 5 years of operational work experience in the energy market 
• Either in a C-level function in an energy start-up  
• Or in a managerial role in a utility environment, e.g. project planning, renewable generation, trading, grid control or non-commodity sales 
• At least 3 years of transaction experience in the venture capital sector 
• Social skills & experience in dealing with various stakeholders of young start-ups 
• Proactive, reliable and results-orientated approach with the ability to take responsibility and work in a non-hierarchical environment 
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English 
• Curiosity about new innovative products, business models and technologies in the field of energy and transport transition 
• Quick comprehension, analytical thinking skills, very good communication skills
