Your tasks
A wide range of Tasks
  • Analyze the long-term renewable portfolio for power and guarantees of origin, and define the portfolio strategy and target transactions.
  • Structure and price long-term power purchase and sales agreements for Germany in close cooperation with Originators and Quantitative Analysts.
  • Understand embedded options and their implications for valuation and hedging, while monitoring market developments and fundamentals relevant for pricing/ hedging PPAs.
  • Support the development of IT tools for pricing and portfolio management and ensuring that deals are captured in relevant systems.
  • Liaise with the Risk department regarding reporting requirements, risk KPIs, and performance measurement.
Your profile
Convincing Profile
  • You have a good understanding of power markets with their fundamental drivers and are experienced in a trading environment as well as in project management.
  • Broad knowledge of financial derivatives and application to pricing and hedging is essential.
  • You have a commercially focused attitude with strong analytical, quantitative skills and a good sense to balance opportunities and risks.
  • The ability to interact empathetically with a variety of stakeholders (Asset Managers, Origination, Quants, IT, Risk) is crucial.
  • Advanced software development skills in Python are required and you are fluent in English and German.

EnBW's Trading business unit is EnBW's central market access point to the energy markets. We are active in key European markets and on international energy exchanges. Our Trading unit is responsible for the optimal management of EnBW's portfolio, is active in the trading of renewable energies and thus supports the Energiewende. We are also involved in future topics such as hydrogen or smart & digital in trading, as well as in new supply contracts and the management of renewable energies.  EnBW's Business Unit Trading operates with an international team with employees from more than 30 nations, represented at 4 European locations: Germany, England, Norway and Switzerland.  Take the chance and play a part in shaping the future.
