The people in our team bundle the EnBW’s know-how on offshore wind, maritime technology and logistics for the design, project management, construction and operation of offshore windfarms.
Our offshore wind business faces exciting challenges. Our strategy requires not only the successful execution of existing projects within the UK but also the development and acquisition of new prospects.
Vielfältige Aufgaben
- Lead and coordinate the interdisciplinary sub-project "Subsea Cabling" on technical issues including bidding for cables, leading contract negotiations, managing the cable supply contract once signed, and delivering the full scope of the package (engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning) until handover to operations.
- Lead and coordinate to reconcile permitting, cable design, cable installation, and system electrical issues to determine optimal cable routing, including establishing key criteria such as transportation and installation, etc.
- Plan and control package budget and coordinate with commercial functions and identify, control and mitigate risks related to intra-park cables.
- Ensure sharing of experiences with the line management as well as involved areas and functions (including Category Management).
- You liaise with the other sub-projects (HVDC, OSS, etc.) as well as functional and project teams on selected technical interfaces and issues and participate in "troubleshooting" as appropriate.
- You coordinate work packages as well as other internal departments regarding project specific requirements.
Überzeugendes Profil
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Several years of professional experience in project management positions including experience in project implementation, ideally with specific experience in the supply of subsea cables for offshore wind farm projects.
- You ideally have extensive knowledge of the submarine cable industry/technology.
- You possess strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise, with a proven track record in leading contract negotiations and contract management for large infrastructure investment projects.
- You are a team player with good communication, persuasion, and assertiveness skills as well as an engaging and confident demeanour and understanding of cross-cultural differences.
- Willingness to work in an international team.
- High motivation for offshore projects as well as flexibility and willingness to travel within the scope of the project characterise you.
- You have a business level command of English, both written and spoken.
