About the department

The Trading business unit of EnBW AG serves as the central market access to energy markets, actively participating in European and international energy exchanges. It optimizes the EnBW portfolio, markets renewable energies, and supports the energy transition. Key focus areas include hydrogen, digital solutions, new supply contracts, and renewable energy management. With an international team of employees from over 30 nations, Trading operates in four locations: Germany, England, Norway, and Switzerland.

In the Energy Transition division, we strategically procure hydrogen, biogases, and derivatives, evaluate infrastructure projects, and develop concepts for storage, transport, and integration into existing energy systems. We are building business models for imported molecules to promote their use in power plants and industries. Additionally, we structure and market green electricity from offshore wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and other renewable sources, while organizing long-term contracts (PPAs) to ensure sustainable power supply.
