Vielfältige Aufgaben
  • Understanding, interpreting and assessing the technological, commercial and supply base related trends and potentials in this strongly evolving field
  • Developing and implementing, together with our business & technology teams, a sustainable Category Strategy optimizing value and sustainable security of supply for EnBW, developing the right partnerships for success
  • Deriving, with our technology teams, an optimized modular solutions setup for various application scenarios
  • Leading tenders and commercial negotiations of significant value ensuring business targets and infrastructure ramp-up objectives are met on time at optimal Total Cost of Ownership and quality
  • Driving holistic performance of our supply base in the field of substations and grid line construction projects
  • Developing and realizing continuous improvement action plans in this field across the company
Überzeugendes Profil
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in preferably engineering, business, legal studies, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, with at least 3 years focused on energy infrastructure plant and grid projects or similar that results in a good understanding of large and medium-sized infrastructure construction projects. Proven track record of successfully managing procurement activities, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships striving for the best solutions
  • You have a wide background of industry knowledge, a good understanding of current market conditions and the ability to understand complex interdependencies seeking for the best technical and commercial relevant solution based on a TCO (total cost of ownership)/ full life-cycle approach considering the operational lifetime of energy infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and stakeholders. A team player with strong co-operative and integrative skills highly engaged in negotiations and strive to contractually fix solutions in a strongly evolving technological and very international environment
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and the ability to drive cost-effective solutions. You are fluent in German and English and have the willingness to travel

We are looking for a highly skilled Category Manager with significant knowledge of energy value chains from generation to grid, smart grid transitioning, the building of energy infrastructure projects and in particular substation solutions as well as grid line construction.

The ideal candidate with a proven record of accomplishment will be responsible for driving the category and supply chain for Substation Solutions across the group with a particular focus on understanding, leveraging the potential of different technologies and construction approaches in this evolving market creating competitive advantage as a true partner to the business.

This position is preferably based at one of our headquarters in Karlsruhe or Stuttgart.
