- As an intern in the Energy Transition department for the Industrial Decarbonization team, your first tasks will be to understand the European power market and specifically the EnBW’s portfolio
- You will review the PPA contracts and understand the contractual market and risk implications. You will be in charge of creating a database allowing the automation of contract generation by using our AI internal tools
- Your tasks will also include the coordination and preparation of discussions and formation with colleagues to internally promote the resulting contract generation tool
- In addition, you will contribute to the improvement of internal processes by proposing automated solutions using Microsoft 365 Apps especially Power BI and Power Automate or any solution you could find relevant
- Based on your profile, you will also be able support us in the structuring of pricings and code implementation
- You are studying engineering, mathematics or a comparable subject and have successfully completed at least four semesters of your Bachelor's Program
- Ideally, you have already gained some experience in the energy industry, whether through internships, working student activities or projects as part of your degree Program
- You have a strong interest in renewable energies, and want to actively contribute to the energy Transition
- Teamwork and initiative are a matter of course for you, and you are business fluent in English. German would be an advantage.
- You are characterized by analytical thinking, a structured way of working and very good communication and project management skills
- You familiarize yourself quickly and independently with new topics
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, knowledge of Python or any other programming language as well as understanding of databases rounds off your profile
- Duration 4-6 months
The business unit Trading of EnBW AG is the central market access to the energy markets. We are active in key European markets and on international energy exchanges. Trading is responsible for the optimal management of the EnBW portfolio, is active in the marketing of renewable energies and thus supports the Energiewende. We are also involved in future topics such as hydrogen or smart & digital in trading, as well as in new supply contracts and the management of renewable energies. The Trading business unit of EnBW AG operates with an international team with employees from more than 30 nations, represented at 4 locations: Germany, England, Norway and Switzerland. In the Energy Transition division within Trading, we are involved in a wide range of innovative and future-oriented activities that contribute to promoting energy transition. This includes marketing and structuring green electricity from offshore wind farms, photovoltaic plants and other renewable energy sources, and organise long-term contracts (PPAs) to secure a sustainable power supply.
You have the opportunity to work from home throughout Germany but a presence with your colleagues in the office in Karlsruhe is recommended.
