As our Software Developer, you
- work in a young DevOps team with passionate problem solvers and develop new tools for our traders.
- contribute to all phases of the end-to-end software development process, from understanding the problems, finding and implementing solutions, to supporting daily operations.
- work closely with the business department to understand their requirements firsthand.
- keep an eye on the architecture and the interaction of all elements of the infrastructure and continuously develop them further.
- are proud of your work and of offering solutions that are maintainable, secure, support-friendly and joyful to use.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer.
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) or higher in computer science, natural sciences or engineering.
- Proficiency in at least 3 backend languages, ideally including Python and Java.
- Proficiency in at least 1 frontend framework, such as Angular.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Proven generalist with experience in both startup and corporate environments or in developing own software products (Open Source or commercial).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
EnBW's Trading business unit is the central point of access to the energy markets. We are active in key European markets and on international energy exchanges. The Trading business unit is responsible for the optimal management of the EnBW portfolio, is active in the marketing of renewable energies and thus supports the energy transition. We are also involved in future topics such as hydrogen or smart & digital trading, as well as in new supply contracts and the management of renewable energies. EnBW's business unit Trading operates with an international team of employees from more than 30 nations, represented at 4 locations: Germany, England, Norway and Switzerland.
